While no surveys have been done to quantify the membership on Badoo, the general consensus is that most Badoo users are more interested in a casual hookup than a serious relationship.
Signing up is easy. You can sign up with an email address of join through Facebook. That’s the easiest route, as Badoo does most of the work for you.
You’ll need to upload at least 1 photo in order to interact with other members, and you’ll also be prompted to verify your account. That’s easy to do, simply take a selfie copying the gesture included in the prompt:
The photo you submit won’t be visible anywhere in your account, it’s strictly for verification purposes.
The app pulls your age, location, photos, and even your job from your FB profile. You then have the option to add in a few personal details: relationship status, sexuality, appearance (height, weight, eye color, hair color, and build), who you live with, if you have kids, and if you smoke or drink.
There is also space to add an up to 500-character paragraph about yourself, and an “interests” section which lists thousands of potential hobbies for you to choose from. Since Badoo matches people based on common interests, make sure you fill out this section.
Although the app is primarily photo based, don’t miss out on a chance to impress her with your profile. It’s short, but put some thought into how you describe yourself. If she’s on the fence about your photos, an attractive profile might convince her to like your profile or answer your message.
